Synopsis

Time2Reflect is a student led documentary that explores Monmouth University’s journey towards antiracism. Featuring esteemed colleagues: Dr. Manuel Chavez, Dr. Corey Dzenko, Dr. David Ford, Laura Giacobbe, Dr. Jen McGovern, Dr. Nicole Pulliam, Dr. Julia Riordan-Goncalves, Dr. Vernon Smith, Claude Taylor, & Dr. Marina Vujnovic.

“Discussions about antiracism are occurring regularly on campus, yet not everyone is clear on what it means to be antiracist, show up as antiracist, and how to be an antiracist advocate or activist. The Time2Reflect Project aims to define antiracism from people who are doing the work.

This documentary will serve as a tool for understanding antiracism and opening discussions about the topic moving forward at the university-level and beyond into our community. If we understand how our community members are practicing antiracism and encouraging others to engage in antiracism, we create a more diverse and inclusive campus community.”

This project was made possible in part due to funding from the Diversity Innovation Grant Program coordinated by the Office of the Provost and Intercultural Center at Monmouth University.
